How Long Does Professional Christmas Light Installation Take?

Most homeowners are surprised by how fast a professional install goes. Here's what to expect.

A typical install takes one visit

A typical roofline install for a single-family home is finished the same day, often in just a few hours. Larger homes, steep two-story peaks, tall trees and full-yard displays take longer.

What affects install time

• The amount of roofline being lit
• Roof pitch and height (steep or two-story roofs take more care)
• Tree wrapping, especially tall trees
• Extras like walkway lights, wreaths, garland and bushes

Do I need to be home?

Usually not. As long as we can reach an outdoor outlet and the areas being lit, we can install while you're at work. We'll set your timer and send you a note when it's done.

What about takedown?

Takedown in January is usually faster than install. We remove everything, check it, and store it for next season.
